An FBI Background Check is essentially a summary of your criminal history.
Also known as a "Rap Sheet", an FBI Background Check includes a summary of an individual's criminal history. The information in this report is collected by federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Although any company may require an FBI Background Check as an employment condition, only you can request a copy of your criminal history from the FBI.
Many people are curious if they can complete an FBI Background Check online. Although the FBI Background Check online process still requires you to be fingerprinted in person, Sound Signings can provide you with FBI Background Check online results via email after you complete the process.

We can roll your fingerprints on your card provided or we can provide FD-258 cards for you. It’s best to ask the requesting party which cards they will accept. Please call if you have any questions.

Ink Card Fingerprinting is the traditional way of taking fingerprints on fingerprint cards using the "ink and roll" method.

Our software allows us to digitally capture your fingerprints and print them out on a fingerprint card. You can provide your own card or use one of our cards. This can be used as a no mess solution that also meets the requirements of an ink card.
FD-258 Submission
The FD-258 card is a popular request we get from customers that want to submit their fingerprint record to the FBI. We capture your fingerprints electronically and print them on a card which meets the same ink requirements.

When applying for a license or background check for a different state other than where you live, ink fingerprints will be required. Different states require different card formats. We provide ink fingerprinting on any form you may need.

You can bring in your own card or use one of our cards that we keep in stock. The advantage of live scan fingerprinting is that it provides a more clear image of your fingerprints and reduces the chance for prints to be denied by any agency or department.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement
Some customers need specific FDLE services such as an FDLE Background Check. FDLE fingerprinting services differ than standard fingerprinting services because they must meet the specific requirements put in place by Florida's Department of Law Enforcement. Sound Signings is an approved FDLE vendor, therefore, we can assist with your FDLE needs whether you need to be fingerprinted or receive an FDLE Background Check.

FDLE fingerprints are used for multiple agencies within the Department of Health.

ORI Number for FDLE Services
This 9-digit Originating Agency Identification or ORI Number is a code assigned to specific agencies that tell us why you are getting a background check and lets the FDLE know where to send your results.

The applicant will be given instructions (from the agency) that includes a specific ORI Number. Florida Live Scan Background Checks are typically completed within 3 business days of receiving the electronic submission.
FINRA FINGERPRINTING
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority
Many of our customers need a FINRA Fingerprint Background Check. As a certified vendor, Sound Signings maintains a secure connection where fingerprints can be submitted electronically with results being delivered back to the broker through the FINRA Central Registration Depository or CRD.
By using Electronic Fingerprint submissions, we take advantage of faster processing times, higher quality fingerprints, reduced rejection rates, and lower FINRA fingerprint processing fees assessed to firms.

We provide electronic fingerprint submission directly to FINRA. This allows for much quicker results than the traditional mailing method. The results are generally back in 3 to 5 business days after your FINRA Fingerprint Background Check.
